This picture show you, how the architects imagined how it would end up. They took a really big chance by renovating the old fabric. But there was a reason. The name Nordkraft, has been mentioned a lot of places. Nordkraft is the name of a book, a theatre play and a movie. And since it has been mentioned in all those places, the builders took the chance and renovated the old Nordkraft, and for 5 years (2007-2012) the renovated the old building and now it has a storey areal on 30.500 m2
But why didn't they make it like they imagined? - The reason is that when they renovated Nordkraft, they went beyond their sum of money, and they didn't have enough money to do everything that they wanted to build in Nordkraft, and therefore a lot of these things there are on the picture, are things that you aren't able to find inside Nordkraft.

SvarSletIt looks really awesome, but when I visit Nordkraft I cannot recognize these things, which was the original plan, so the financial crisis has devastated the construction of Nordkraft. I think Nordkraft is a really cool building because of the rough walls in the building, you can see it was an industrial building before. I think Nordkraft together with the Aalborg tower and the upcoming ugly building Musikkens Hus are characterizing Aalborg.
